Bittersweet Embrace
I was born behind these iron bars
Chasing dreams down endless corridors
Looking for you
I search for meaning amongst the confusion
I reach for solace beyond my confinement
You beckoned me
No words were spoken
But I heard your voice through the noise
You gave me a world
Gave me a purpose
I stand by you
But this living hell won't let our hearts bear fruit
Their heartless worlds slowly kill us
The bystanders only watch us bleed
You couldn't wash the blood from your hands
They don't understand
Therefore they destroy
Relishing in our demise
So at the end of this corridor, we must part ways
Our embrace is bittersweet
Tender warmth upon my skin
Chilled air within my veins
In your arms I savor the silence.
We cannot be saved
But fate's chains still bind us
Wherever we go from here
I know your not far behind

This is my entry for the Writing Tournament Round III!! I was really surprised I made it this far. 
Our theme for this round was "At The Farthest Ends."
Since at first I was a little stuck on what to write about, I decided to go to my playlist on my ipod and put it on shuffle.
I decided to use incorporate the first four songs together into a story as inspiration for this.

Oops, I'm a little out of it today, and I got what "end-stopped" means wrong. 
And as I said, not capitalizing every line is just my own personal quirk.
